3-Day Abune Yosef Conservation Area Trekking Tour from Lalibela

Leave logistics to the experts and experience the spectacular landscapes of the Abune Yosef massif on this 4-day, all-inclusive private tour. Traveling with your private guide and porters, spend two nights in highland villages and one in an eco-lodge. Along the way, see gelada monkeys and scale 14,055-foot (4,284-meter) Rim Gedel. Besides meals, your tour includes door-to-door round-trip transfers from your hotel.
Day 1: Lalibela to Ad Medhane Alem (Atabkit)
Your guide will pick you up at your hotel at 7.30ish.
From there directly your hike starts.
Very soon Lalibela stretches underneath your feet and you are already in the beautiful LASTA MOUNTAINS. After around 3hrs you will reach the first plateau above ABI JACULA called MERABARBU. There you will have long break and lunch.
The trek continues in the direction to the next plateau called AD MEHANE ALEM (ATABKIT),
From Ad Medhane Alem (Atabkit) plateau you will continue to walk towards the AD MEDHANE ALEM VILLAGE, NEAR ASTABIR, your ‘home’ for tonight.
Day 2: Tigu Kebele Village, Rim Gedel, and twin Zigit peaks
After breakfast you start a shorter trek this day (around3-4 hours) to our Abune Yosef Eco Lodge on WEDEBIYE ABO.
You will have lunch and later hike to the SMALL ZIGITS and to a very top of the highest mountain here, called RIM GEDEL (4284mtr).
Day 3: abuyene yoseph
After breakfast at Abune Yosef Eco Lodge, We will have breakfast in the family hut before hiking to WEDEBIYE ABO VILLAGE. Lunch will be served at Zigit Eco Lodge, and then we will have a long break before hiking to the Twin Zigits and to a very high peak called RIM GEDEL (4284mtr). We will spend the night at Zigit Eco Lodge.
